National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
Veterans Crisis Line and Military Crisis Line: The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care. The caring, qualified responders at the Veterans Crisis Line are specially trained and experienced in helping Veterans of all ages and circumstances.

The Trevor Project: The leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

Local Community Mental Health Center: There are 10 community mental health centers in New Hampshire that provide 24-hour crisis services. If your life or the life of another is at risk, this is not an appropriate resource. In that case, contact 911. If you are experiencing significant distress and are not sure where to turn, contact your community health center to access their emergency services. Included below is the contact information for the two centers in the seacoast region of NH.

Al-anon: Support program for individuals who have been affected by someone else’s drinking.

SOS Recovery Community Center: A substance misuse recovery network of individuals in recovery and their allies who seek to provide support for others in similar circumstances. SOS recovery center offers a variety of recovery coaching as well as telephone recovery support to individuals in Strafford County in New Hampshire.

CHILD ABUSE
Department of Children Youth & Families: Everyone in New Hampshire is what is known as a mandated reporter. This means that New Hampshire Law requires any person who suspects that a child under age 18 has been abused or neglected must report that suspicion immediately to DCYF. They are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year.

National Child Abuse Hotline: The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Serving the U.S. and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who—through interpreters—provide assistance in over 170 languages.
